Wilton Town football club's history can be traced back only to the summer of 2008. Despite being a town with great football potential, Wilton has never been appropriately represented.
Wilton Town has only ever previously been a youth organisation and has never run a senior team.
The new club is making history every day. If you would like to be part of that history, contact us via the 'contact club' page.
If you know of any further Wilton football history that we are unaware of, please also send us the details via the 'contact club' section. Thank you.
One person who did so was Mr Dick Batchelor from Eastleigh who contacted us to tell us that his grandfather Frank and his grandfather's bother William, both played for Wilton FC back in 1901-02. He has supplied us with the picture of the team with a trophy with all of them wearing medals on their shirts.
The club secretary and the mayor of Wilton are also in the picture, wearing their top hats and obviously very proud of the team.
So it would seem that there has been a senior team in Wilton for over 100 years and that they were pretty successful back then as well!
Anyone who can fill in the gaps between 1902 and 2008, please let us know.
