Town won a hard fought victory at fellow strugglers Devizes Town reserves 1-0 with a goal from substitute Dale Gower.
In a game of few chances neither side looked as though they would win the game as neither goalkeeper was seriously troubled.
On a hard bobbly pitch both teams struggled to keep possession and the game became very scrappy.
Town striker Gary Hooker came closest to breaking the deadlock in the first half when his flicked header was cleared off the line.
The second half saw Hooker again go close after he fired wide following an excellent run but the game looked to be heading towards a stalemate.
Town got the goal they probably just about deserved when substitute Dale Gower rose high to head home a Neil Underwood corner ten minutes before the end.
