Town made it five wins in a row today and came close to making promotion a certainty. In a potentially difficult game at Wroughton, who had lost only two games prior to today, Town controlled the game for long periods and came home with a valuable three points.
It didn't start well for Town and Wroughton took a deserved lead when a cross from the right was headed home in style from eight yards out.
The goal sparked Town into life and they started to dominate the game. A great delivery from man of the match Nick Lumber from a free-kick was headed home at the far post by Matt Sandford to bring Town level.
In form striker Ollie Smith then burst clear and hammered the ball past the Wroughton keeper to give Town the lead.
Before half-time Lewis Marchment made a great run down the right and put in a fine cross that reached Smith at the far post. He needed no invitation to lash the ball home to take Town into the break 3-1 up.
The second half saw Town control the game and whilst Glenn Craven was forced into a couple of fine saves, on the whole Town were comfortable.
Wroughton pulled a goal back with a fine finish with the last kick of the game but Town were worthy winners after an excellent away performance.
