A decent performance from Town today saw them pick up three points and keep their second clean sheet in a row.
The first half saw Town have a little more of the possession but in fairness to Ramsbury they could have been two-nil up. Chris Smith made a fine save from point blank range and then the Ramsbury striker fired wide when it looked easier to score.
These escapes spurred Town into life and they took the lead when top scorer Simon Nelmes finished well.
A slightly disappointing first half finished with Town one goal to the good.
The second half saw Town perform much better and create a number of chances. The hard worfking Ollie Smith was unlucky not to find the target and Town exerted some real pressure on their opponents.
The second goal came when Ian Pearce delivered a typically good free-kick which a Ramsbury defender headed into his own net.
When the Ramsbury keeper could only tip a long range Dean Hancock free kick on to the bar, Simon Nelmes followed up to head his second and Town's third.
This was a pretty good performance by Town who thoroughly deserved their three points.
