Town picked up their first three points today in a 1-0 win over Chiseldon.
There is no doubt that Town deserved to win as Chiseldon didn't manage a decent effort on goal in the whole game. Having said that, Town rarely troubled the Chiseldon keeper, although that was more to do with a lack of shooting rather than a lack of opportunities.
The first half saw a tight struggle with Town coming close a few times through Simon Nelmes, Olly Smith and Ian Pearce and Chiseldon hitting the Wilton post just before half-time.
The second half continued in the same vain with Town on top but looking increasingly likely not to score.
With a few minutes to go Lewis Marchment found himself clear on goal and a clever chip over the keeper gave Town a deserved three points.
This was a decent performance from Town with the central defensive partnership of Dean Andrews and Dave Pearce looking particularly good.
